Agama's DTV Monitoring Solution is a comprehensive suite of products for continuous, real-time monitoring and quality control of all forms of video delivery, from service creation to consumption. Trusted by TV operators worldwide, the solution enables systematic improvement of service quality and customer satisfaction, while reducing operational and quality-related costs associated with customer churn. By providing service-focused transparency and insight—from the headend pixel to the information actually experienced by each individual viewer—this proven solution supports operators in ensuring a superior TV experience for their customers and achieving operational excellence in video delivery. At IBC2012, Agama will launch a version of its comprehensive solution specifically for IPTV operators using Mediaroom.
With its integration with the Mediaroom platform, the Agama solution provides operators with complete visibility from the headend to the customer's home, enabling detailed insights into service quality across the distribution network. Agama allows Mediaroom operators to proactively prevent or detect problems before they impact customers, strengthening customer loyalty and profitability. Incident management also becomes more efficient when issues can be properly triangulated – Where is the problem originating? What is its severity level? How many customers are affected?

For systematic and trend analysis, comparative reports can be generated for services, regions, DSLAMs (Digital Subscriber Line Multiplexers), or other parts of the infrastructure. These reports can be customized, scheduled, and automatically emailed to all stakeholders. This provides the entire Operator organization with the same objective information and puts everyone on the same page, ultimately enabling rapid and profitable growth of television services with high customer satisfaction.
“Parts of our solution have been deployed for several years in Mediaroom environments with various Operators, primarily to monitor headends and A-server network locations, but now we are taking it a step further and enabling these Operators to benefit from our complete end-to-end solution,” says Mikael Dahlgren, CEO of Agama Technologies. “Microsoft Mediaroom is the most widely used IPTV platform in the world, and we are very pleased to be able to share our expertise and proven product line for video service monitoring and quality assurance with Operator customers worldwide.”
Agama showcased its complete solution for Microsoft Mediaroom implementations, among other products, at IBC2012 held in Amsterdam from September 7-11.
