The DVB/S2-COFDM CI and DVBS/S2-QAM CI transmodulators share a common interface that allows them to use a Conditional Access Module (CAM) to decrypt the encoded content within one or more satellite-received services. Theycan be configured and monitored remotely using a headend controller and also allow editing of the Service Identifier (Service_ID). By adjusting this parameter, the installer can change the channels present in an installation without retuning the televisions, thus simplifying maintenance in unique installations such as hotels, hospitals, residences, etc.
