The antennas are positioned at equal intervals on an X/Y grid. The respective measurement data (level and/or frequency) are displayed on the server as a checkerboard pattern. Each square of the checkerboard represents a measurement set. The 64 measurement sets thus form, for example, an RF camera with 8x8 points = 64 pixels.
This seemingly low resolution already enables a very detailed analysis of antenna emission characteristics or a graphical visualization of emissions from test devices during EMC measurements. This significantly reduces measurement time. Furthermore, it provides highly detailed information on the diffusion characteristics of different emission types.  
Aaronia-3D-Software-wThe display size can be adjusted according to user requirements. The system allows for unlimited display resolution. A well-known telecommunications provider is already using this system for research and product evaluation.
Despite the substantial hardware required for system operation, the price is relatively low. Thus, a 32-pixel system with a 6GHz bandwidth is already available for under €100,000. A version up to 20GHz is also available for an additional charge. A real-time version, based on the new generation of SPECTRAN V5 real-time spectrum analyzers, will be available soon.
Furthermore, an advanced version of the system with 3D visualization (with an additional Z-axis) is planned to display more complex information.
The amount of hardware required then increases significantly. For example, creating a 6x6x6 cube will require approximately 216 complete measurement sets.
