The GSS6450's flexibility to record multiple RF signals across multiple RF interfaces allows chipset and device developers across a variety of application areas to conduct comprehensive testing. Once the RF data is captured, the RPS is used in the lab to repeatedly reproduce the captured environment on the device under test, saving on project, travel, and engineering costs while improving product performance, quality, and time to market.
The GSS6450 is designed to capture complex environments with the fidelity necessary to ensure that playback results in the lab are truly representative of the captured real-world conditions. Its flexible architecture makes it suitable for everything from commercial application testing to interference and blocking testing scenarios. The 4-bit option allows you to keep data storage levels low, while the 16-bit system provides 80 dB of dynamic range. Selectable recording bandwidth also allows the user to ensure that only the bands of interest are recorded, saving data space.
The self-contained unit has everything you need to start testing. Weighing just 2.2 kg and supplied with a shoulder strap, the GSS6450 can be easily carried or used in a vehicle. Simply connect the supplied antenna and press the one-touch record button to begin, then select the file and press PLAY to play back via RF.
The 1TB internal hard drive and an additional 1TB removable drive, along with up to 1.5 hours of battery life, allow for uninterrupted recording in the field. For users requiring more storage, the unit supports higher-capacity SSDs and RAID arrays.
The GSS6450 offers true recording flexibility at variable bit depths (2, 4, 8, or 16 bits) and a choice of five bandwidths (10, 30, 50, 60, or 80 MHz). Furthermore, a basic configuration can be easily upgraded to support higher bit depths and more constellations, bandwidths, and RF interfaces, whenever you need them.
