With its new, highly sensitive touchscreen, the Aeroflex 3550 tester delivers a new experience in RF testing.
Users can easily define their own configuration screens and save them to memory for easy future testing. Weighing only 3.75 kg (almost half the weight of equivalent current equipment) and featuring an internal battery with up to 4.5 hours of autonomy, the Aeroflex 3550A is ideal for field testing.
The 3550 is designed to meet a wide range of radio testing requirements, providing fast and reliable measurements of all radio transmission and reception parameters. Notable features include DTF distance-to-fail measurement on coaxial cables, SWR measurement, and return loss measurement.
It offers comprehensive transmission testing capabilities. By integrating RF power, RSSI, frequency error, and modulation measurements, it enables complete analysis of AM, FM, P25, DMR (MOTOTRBO), dPMR, NXDN, and ARIB98 radio systems.
In reception, thanks to the integrated multifunction RF generator and SINAD, distortion, and BER meters, precise receiver sensitivity testing is possible for both analog and digital systems.
The level of accuracy and specifications of the Aeroflex 3550 tester were previously only achievable with much more expensive benchtop test equipment.
Typical specifications include:
• Phase noise of -95 dBc/Hz
• RF generator level accuracy of +/-1.5 dB
• FM deviation meter accuracy of 4%
• Spectrum analyzer down to -140 dBm
