The new devolo dLAN adapter allows bandwidth of up to 300 Mbps via Wi-Fi and 500 Mbps over the power line. Additionally, the dLAN 550 Wi-Fi includes an Ethernet port for connecting devices via cable.
Many homes have entire rooms with insufficient or even nonexistent Wi-Fi coverage, even though electronic devices increasingly require a stable internet connection to reach their full potential.
dLAN® Wi-Fi adapters easily utilize your home's electrical wiring as an internet network, creating a new Wi-Fi access point right where it's needed. Furthermore, the new dLAN 550 Wi-Fi adapter is incredibly compact, allowing you to plug it in anywhere in your home while taking up minimal space.
Thanks to its two antennas, the dLAN 550 WiFi offers a WiFi connection with speeds of up to 300 Mbps. And via cable, using your existing electrical wiring, it transmits at speeds of up to 500 Mbps and covers distances of up to 400 meters. This allows you to enjoy truly fast downloads and uninterrupted streaming services.
Furthermore, to provide efficient protection against unauthorized access, Wireless data transmission is secured with WPA and PLC-Powerline transmission uses 128-bit AES encryption.
Installation: When setting up a new PLC-Powerline network, plug the first adapter into an outlet near your router, and then connect it to the router. You can then plug the second adapter into any other outlet in your home. From there, it will provide internet access and, in the case of the dLAN 500 WiFi, even a Wi-Fi hotspot, without any additional installation or configuration. This technology allows you to use up to eight adapters on a single electrical circuit and provides a stable Wi-Fi connection in any room.
