Key new features in this release include:
• Wireless monitor to automatically analyze and optimize the performance of connected access points1
• Facebook WiFi for businesses that want to use this social network to connect with invited users and increase marketing opportunities2
Nebula's wireless monitor goes beyond competing offerings, which typically summarize access point performance.

“Informing administrators that an access point is experiencing issues can be helpful, but it doesn’t actually resolve the underlying problem. This is where some competing cloud services fall short,” says Crowley Wu, vice president of Networking SBU at Zyxel. “Nebula’s monitoring feature works behind the scenes to identify and optimize underperforming access points, saving businesses time and money.”.

Integrating Facebook WiFi into Nebula's lead capture portal provides businesses of all sizes with a suite of powerful analytics and marketing tools. Furthermore, guests can connect using their Facebook credentials, eliminating the need for a password.

The family of cloud solutions has grown to 34 devices with the addition of six access points from the WAC6100 and WAC65003 series, including the outdoor models of the latter. Each NebulaFlex Pro access point comes with a one-year subscription to the Professional Pack license, giving new and existing users a taste of all the benefits Nebula offers.

“The one-year license is a great opportunity to learn about and appreciate the full scope of Zyxel’s cloud services,” Wu says. “For those already using these access points or any other NebulaFlex Pro device, the free upgrade is an added bonus.”.

The access points will also have triple management functionality: freedom to switch between standalone modes, controller management, or Nebula cloud management.
