The SRU2 design is based on a new architecture that delivers higher RF performance and the most compact mechanical dimensions in the industry (1.14L). The SRU2 microwave splitting system is the ideal solution for a high-capacity transmission link.
The SRU2 solution features multiple QPSK (quad-phase shift keying) networks for 4096 QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) channels. The maximum RF bandwidth for a single channel can support up to 112 MHz. With this RF capability, a single carrier can transmit 1.3 Gbps service without requiring an XPIC polarized configuration. Compared to current 2048 QAM solutions with a 56 MHz bandwidth, the SRU2 can deliver 218% higher performance. It is designed to meet future LTE backhaul network requirements.
A key feature of the SRU2 is its "dual carrier aggregation mode." With this innovative technology, a single SRU2 unit can support two RF transmissions, saving half the cost of traditional RF hardware setups.
The ultra-high integration design gives the SRU2 the most compact size (1.14L) in the industry, and its pocket-sized form factor offers greater convenience for engineering installation.
The launch of the SRU2 will help ZTE strengthen its competitiveness in microwave transmission technology. The ZTE ZXMW SRU2 solution will be available on the market in 2016.
