Due to the limited bandwidth and latency of existing wireless networks, HD underwater video cannot be transmitted in real time. In contrast, 5G networks with their high bandwidth and low latency enable real-time VR and remote control services, including the remote operation of remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROVs) and allowing autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) to conduct expeditions and maintenance tasks. This substantially enhances the value of wireless network services.

Through real-time VR video transmission and wireless remote control, the demonstration will simulate various underwater scenarios to showcase the advancements of 5G applications in underwater research and unmanned operations.
