Designed to expand the existing Åarhus hospital, the new AUH is one of the "mega-hospitals" being built in Denmark. When completed, the AUH will be the largest hospital in Northern Europe, with 9,500 employees and 4,000 daily visitors. The RFID system tracks 20 different tags, from employee name tags to wheelchairs, beds, and equipment.

Zebra RFID readers capture data accurately without glare. Each FX7500 RFID reader features two AN480 antennas to ensure optimal scanning performance.
The RFID system was installed by Zebra partner Lyngsoe Systems. Lyngsoe LIVE Logistics™ records all RFID tag data collected by the fixed readers, which is then integrated into the hospital's logistics system and displayed to staff via their mobile devices. This allows them to quickly locate equipment, medications, samples, and hospital staff members.
