Flexible configurations and enhanced internal components for greater reliability allow data centers to seamlessly scale power in response to growing IT demands. Basic, monitored, and switched models are now available in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

With more and more racks supporting power densities exceeding 25 kW, data center operators require robust, high-capacity power distribution solutions capable of balancing loads and efficiently managing essential electrical requirements. The Vertiv PowerIT rPDU utilizes three-phase power distribution in both Delta 208V (commonly used in North America) and WYE 240/415V (typical in EMEA and other international markets) configurations. This approach evenly distributes the electrical load across multiple phases, reducing the potential for circuit overload risks, stabilizing voltage, and improving reliability.

“The increasing adoption of AI and HPC applications is driving unprecedented power demands in data centers. Vertiv™ PowerIT rPDU demonstrates our commitment to meeting these evolving needs with a comprehensive portfolio,” said Andrea Ferro, VP of Power Systems and IT at Vertiv EMEA. “By providing solutions specifically designed for high-density computing, we are enabling our EMEA and global customers to efficiently scale their power infrastructure while maintaining the reliability and flexibility required for next-generation data centers.” Vertiv

PowerIT rPDU provides accurate, real-time power usage data to support optimized power management in both monitored and switched models. Built for robust performance, the rPDU operates reliably in temperatures up to 60°C and ambient humidity up to 95%, delivering consistent performance and adaptability even in the most demanding high-density data center environments. Switched versions offer remote outlet-level control, rapid deployment adjustments, and enhanced protection for critical IT loads. The monitored models feature Secure Boot, a proprietary Vertiv hardware trust anchor that protects the integrity of the network card's firmware by preventing unauthorized modifications. With on-demand configuration and design options, customers can customize the rPDUs to their specific needs by selecting socket configurations, input types, and chassis colors.

The Vertiv PowerIT rPDU is available with the Vertiv™ Distribution Assurance Package, which provides comprehensive seven-year coverage, 24/7 emergency response, on-site and remote support, and professional commissioning services to ensure continuous reliability and maximize uptime.
