Sixty-one new versions have been added to the wiring catalog, all readily available from stock through Harwin's supply chain partners. The new products provide male and female connections, with numerous options for the number of contacts and cable length. They are available in single and double termination configurations for cable lengths of 150 mm, 300 mm, and 450 mm. The high-performance T-Contact, capable of up to 8.5 A, is also among the contact options. Wiring products with extended backwalls have been back-potted with epoxy resin for increased strain relief. All connectors feature stainless steel screw locks for a more secure connection and greater vibration resistance.
As with the entire Datamate series, these cabling products possess the mechanical robustness required for highly reliable installations. In addition to achieving a lifespan of 500 connection cycles, they offer superior resistance to shock (100G for 6ms) and vibration (10G for 2 hours on each axis). They also feature a wide operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C.
“A growing number of our customers need cabling products but have found it challenging. The significant investments in tooling and training can be difficult to justify for small production runs or prototype development, especially when combined with tight deadlines,” says Ryan Smart, Director of New Products at Harwin. “Thanks to the innovations we've introduced to our Datamate cabling product line, we can help customers avoid all these complications. They can choose the option that best suits their needs and receive it directly from our stock without any delivery delays to worry about. Customers also have the assurance that these products have been manufactured and thoroughly tested by a highly experienced team of qualified engineers.”
