The ER series features 3.6 mm copper contacts with a rated voltage of up to 250 V AC and a rated current of up to 80 A. The connector is also easy to handle for everyday use, given its low insertion/extraction force of less than 75 N. Together, its weather-resistant design and ease of insertion/extraction make it a superior choice.
This connector has a 3S protection rating, so it's operational even when the enclosure is covered in ice. It also supports charging modes 2 and 3. Mode 2 is reliable and portable, and can be used with a standard household outlet or an industrial (CEE) outlet. Mode 2 charging requires a cable with the correct plug. Mode 3 is efficient and versatile, and can be used with a dedicated charging station or a wall-mounted charging box installed in the home. This mode allows for "controlled" charging, where the vehicle communicates with the charger to determine the appropriate charging current before the voltage reaches the outlet.
The ER series has an operating temperature range of -30°C to +50°C. It can withstand more than 10,000 docking cycles and 96 hours (about 4 days) of salt spray.
