TE's OSFP connectors offer speeds of up to 400 Gigabit Ethernet (400 GbE) across more than eight electrical lanes to support equipment operating at up to 56 gigabits per second (Gbps) PAM-4 and 28 Gbps NRZ. The SMT connectors provide a 60-position interface with a two-row design and a proven contact pitch of 0.6 mm. With low PCB costs and low noise, the SMT connectors are belly-to-belly compatible with ground alignment.
The OSFP housing mounts feature a flat-rock PCB mounting design and support single-port and multi-port applications in 1x1 and 1x4 configurations. The stainless steel housing includes tight airflow ventilation, ensuring optimal airflow within the system and aiding in module cooling. The housing mounts also feature EMI shielding on both the bezel and port opening, and the surface-mount connectors and housing utilize copper alloy contacts.
