This new development will be invaluable for applications requiring EMI/RFI protection but with limited space for connectors and cabling. These applications include satellites and CubeSats, unmanned aerial vehicles, robotics, medical equipment, and high-density industrial systems.
 
Two versions of these horizontal back covers are available. The first includes panel-mount tabs, while the second does not. These back covers are compatible with Gecko-SL horizontal board-mount connectors (with standard gender locking) and Gecko-MT mixed-type connectors (capable of carrying both power and data).
 
These top-mounted rear covers are independently attached rather than directly connected to the connector. This allows them to be incorporated during manufacturing as well as in the initial design concept stages. They withstand the same extreme levels of vibration, shock, and temperature as the rest of the Gecko range, making them ideal for demanding environments.
