The connection system, available from Mouser Electronics, combines TE's Fortis Zd interconnect technology with line replaceable modules (LRMs), enabling engineers to quickly replace modules on-site and minimize downtime. The modular design, with a common bay size, makes the connection system easy to configure for specific application needs and allows designers to position modules as required. The Fortis Zd LRM connector system features M55320 four-point contacts, provides electrical stability in high-vibration environments, and includes hardware and housing features that help ensure a reliable connection and excellent stability under extreme vibration.
        
The connection system utilizes high-speed Fortis Zd modules that support speeds up to 12 Gbps. High-power modules support 55 amps per contact, and low-power modules support 15 amps per contact. The connectors are durable, resistant to 500 insertion cycles, and have an operating temperature range of 65 to 125 degrees Celsius. The LRM Fortis Zd connector system is suitable for various military and aerospace applications, including avionics, radar interfaces, mission vehicle computers, and communications centers.
