The JMX family of plastic connectors is IP68 rated, withstands 2000 connection cycles, and is sterilizable in a steam autoclave according to IEC 60601-1 (up to 200 ergonomic cycles).
Previously, the range offered nine configurations with two power contacts and twelve signal contacts; it now offers 24 configurations and up to 19 signal contacts. Furthermore, a combination of signal and power contacts with the same configuration is also possible. JMX connectors are designed for use in all medical devices that come into contact with patients: diagnostic and monitoring equipment, scanners, mammography equipment, and vascular testing equipment. They can also be used in catheters during surgery, in chromatographic analyses in laboratories and physiotherapy, in laser generators, and in liposuction devices.
When plugged in, a click confirms a secure connection, and to disconnect, simply push and pull the connector. Nine color-coded rings prevent incorrect pairing of plugs and receptacles.
