The new additions allow for innovative applications to be added to existing ones. In addition to all the original advantages of Endurance S, the Endurance S components offer voltage extensions up to 250 V AC/5 A and various combinations of coupling elements for protected coupling.
The Endurance S ecosystem consists of a female mating connector and various base and bell assemblies to house control modules and sensors and protect them from harsh environments. Incorporating a silicone elastomer gasket, the IP66-rated female connector and base and bell assemblies provide a sealed electrical interface and a robust packaging solution.
The compact, UV-resistant design can be mounted facing upwards, downwards, or sideways. Individual components are easy to assemble, with low-torque push-and-turn locking mechanisms and coupling elements on the base and receptacle. A special coupling element is now also available for applications that do not need to comply with the Zhaga standard.
The female connector transmits DC power to the connected module and offers either a DALI 2.0 connection or a two-wire bus connection for communication and data transmission. It accepts 16–20 AWG solid wire and 18–20 AWG tinned stranded wire.
The connector bases, made of PBT, are available in 40 mm and 80 mm diameters, with attached clear or smoke-gray polycarbonate caps. Larger bases can be customized with a valve to optimize pressure within the sealed control module and reduce condensation through vapor diffusion. An optional sleeve fills the gap between the control module and the luminaire, improving aesthetics and providing enhanced protection against water, dust, and insects.
