The new fieldbus connectors utilize the latest generation of ERNI Type 8 D-Sub connectors, offering high precision, stability, and reliable contact.
The new ERbic Profibus versions feature reduced external dimensions. Their compact design provides a form factor compatible with Siemens PLCs. All included components are pre-assembled. Strain protection is available for cable diameters between 6 and 9 mm (8 mm before assembly). To meet diverse application requirements, familiar cable connection techniques are offered, such as IDC terminals (providing quick connections), cage clamps, or screw terminals. The bus connectors can be printed using the standard nameplate.
The variable connection techniques and strain protection provide customers with maximum flexibility for fieldbus connections. Only a standard screwdriver is needed to mount and dismount the new ERbic Profibus devices, and a red indicator provides excellent visibility of the switching status. There is ample space for custom labeling, as both neutral versions
and variants with the
company logo can be supplied.
The new Profibus connectors are designed for data transmission speeds of up to 12 Mbit/s in IP30-compliant applications. Entirely in-house production guarantees ERNI's proven quality throughout the entire process: design, manufacturing, assembly, soldering, and inspection.
