The UTS Hi seal with pin sockets stands out for its high level of sealing, whether locked or unlocked.
First, even when not locked, the housing is watertight with an IP68 and IP69K rating. This offers two advantages: in case of accidental locking or jamming, there is no risk of water ingress, thus protecting the electronics; and it provides an additional guarantee of watertightness when the connector is locked. This functionality is achieved by retaining the contacts with an elastomer.
Secondly, in the locked position, the UTS Hi seal with pin sockets leverages the performance of the UTS range and also ensures IP68 or IP69K level protection. This guarantees stable performance characteristics during immersion at a depth of 10 m and during high-pressure cleaning operations at 140 bar. The seal is also dynamic: specifically, this means it is maintained even when the cable is in motion. The material, a high-performance plastic, is resistant to UV, shock, and vibration, and offers excellent temperature resistance (from -40 °C to 105 °C). Furthermore, the UTS Hi seal connectors with pin sockets are resistant to salt spray (>500 hours), increasing their reliability when used outdoors.
The UTS Hi seal connector with pin sockets, designed for soldering to the circuit board, comes standard with a wash-out stand for easy rinsing of effluents after wave soldering. Optional clamps for securing it to the board are also available. The connector is available in 18 configurations, from 2 to 19 pins; it transmits all types of signals and power up to 1000 V and 13 A. It is UL 1977 approved and can withstand 250 cycles.
