MolexanunciaThe connectors provide space savings by reducing the overall weight of the wiring and allow customers to use and crimp cables with a smaller gauge than traditional 0.64 mm terminal systems.

The Mini50 connection system features an independent secondary locking mechanism (ISL) integrated into the housing, reducing the number of components. Furthermore, the PCB headers can be unlocked vertically or at a right angle, providing flexibility for cable routing and module design. The connection system is constructed from a high-temperature resistant thermoplastic housing. Consequently, it can withstand lead-free soldering processes using both wave and infrared (IR) technology at temperatures up to 260°C.

Currently, single-row configurations with 4 and 8 circuits are offered, available with multiple mechanical and visual polarization options. A double-row version with 12 circuits is under development and is expected to be released this year, 2012.
