Souriau HD is available for each of the following product ranges: 8LT (38999 SI), 8D (38999 SIII), 8ST (VG96912), and 8STA (dedicated to motorsports applications), with different types of special protection for each product range. In its HD version, for standard size 9 connectors with 6 #22D contacts, it will have 12 #26 contacts; for size 11, the connector will have 26 #26 contacts instead of 13 #22D contacts.
The HD range uses approved and tested standard mechanical components: plug, socket, and lock nut. The same applies to the inserts, which use the same materials already implemented in MIL-DTL-38999, for example, with contacts retained by metal clamps.
The #26 (3 A) male and female contact remains the same regardless of the product range, meaning the same tools can be used for installation. Standard acceptable cable diameters range from #26 to #28. #24 cables can also be used (upon request).
In addition, Souriau can offer the complete 3D CAD modeling package (Step format), custom drawings and its specialized technical expertise to ensure the connectors are optimally integrated into the customer's applications/systems.
