The excellent vertical PCB launch configuration gives these test connectors essential advantages over traditional end-launch connectors. They are small in size and can be mounted anywhere on the printed circuit board for increased density. Furthermore, the compression-mount design eliminates soldering, speeding up the installation process. The compression-mount design uses two 0-80 UNF screws to enable direct mounting of the connector to the PCB. It also accommodates a wide range of thicknesses, from 0.57 mm to 2.79 mm, and features a permanent ground connection between the connector and the PCB. The connection sockets mates with the 2.4 mm male connectors available on the end of the customer's test equipment cable.
The integrated center-pin design enables a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1.2:1 at 50 GHz and offers low reflections for accurate measurements. Furthermore, the stainless steel body is capable of withstanding more than 500 coupling cycles.
