The Brocade Network Advisor is designed to support the four value propositions of Brocade One™: simplicity, seamless connectivity, optimized applications, and investment protection.
Simplicity: It offers comprehensive lifecycle management capabilities, including configuration, monitoring, management, and reporting across the entire Brocade connectivity solutions portfolio—all from a single, easy-to-use GUI. Powerful Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) capabilities provide granular management of network resources and detailed change logs. This unified experience across different network types allows customers to adopt converged technologies (such as FCoE, wired/wireless, VoIP, and unified communications) at their own pace with minimal learning curve for their administrators as they adopt these new technologies.
Seamless Connectivity: It reduces network downtime and enhances security through proactive monitoring, traffic analysis, fault isolation, change management, and corrective action policies. A sophisticated rules engine allows you to set policies, including automated actions such as running predefined scripts and sending email notifications. Advanced Call Home features allow customers to configure Brocade Network Advisor to notify their support team before any service issues occur.
Optimized Applications: Optimize application traffic and performance to manage service-level agreements (SLAs) through end-to-end network monitoring, automation, and policy management. Brocade Network Advisor also supports server- or virtual machine (VM)-based Quality of Service (QoS) configuration. Accurate monitoring helps determine network congestion and its impact on applications, while deep integration with partner management products simplifies troubleshooting across administrative silos.
Investment Protection: Provides robust integration via standards-based APIs with innovative partner products for server management, storage management, virtualization management, and data center orchestration. Examples include VMware vCenter, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), IBM Tivoli Storage Productivity Center (TPC), and IBM Systems Director.
For Brocade IronView® Network Manager (INM) or Brocade Data Center Fabric Manager (DCFM®) customers, Brocade Network Advisor will provide an upgrade path and ensure business continuity. Brocade will also provide migration guides, training materials, and courses to help customers achieve a smooth transition to the new product.
