Thecenter1This software performs tasks such as centrally managing managed Ethernet devices and monitoring Ethernet networks, as well as managing events and alarms and monitoring performance.
The HARTING technology group has developed the Ha-VIS Dashboard specifically to monitor, configure and maintain powerful and complex IP-based communication networks.

The Dashboard can recognize and manage up to 256 network devices. Application areas range from industrial network infrastructures to broad sectors of energy technologies and transportation applications.

Topology Detection:
The software detects manageable network units and can automatically represent the network topology. All HARTING smart network components—currently the mCon and Fast Track family switches and the RF-R500 RFID reader—can be centrally monitored and managed.
Compatibility with future developments is guaranteed. Furthermore, the software is open to network components from other manufacturers.

Automatic Event Processing:
The HARTING Ha-VIS Dashboard allows for centralized configuration of detected devices via the web interface, SNMP, Telnet, or SSH (Secure Shell). Connection and disconnection events are detected and displayed. These events, which also include received SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) traps, can automatically trigger actions such as email notifications or program calls. This flexibly configurable functionality improves
response time to network events.

Analysis and Statistics
In addition to simple Ethernet network monitoring and management, the Ha-VIS Dashboard also offers analysis options.

The software has the ability to sample the network load in cycles for selected port-to-port connections, and then display the results in an auto-scaling diagram.

Flexible integration of external programs:
It is possible to integrate calls from external programs into the Ha-VIS panel's menu structure through configuration. In this way, the Ha-VIS Dashboard serves as a central visualization and management software.
