Fujitsu INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance enables the optimization of industrial processes for Industry 4.0, securely connecting data and resources with people and devices, and reducing the gap between operational technology (OT) in the field and cloud-based and on-premises IT.

The multinational company is introducing its INTELLIEDGE appliance for managing OT devices, giving businesses a comprehensive view of all production processes. This enables them to advance the monitoring and management of optimized individual production lines at a cost similar to mass production. All of this is controlled through a console that runs on-premises or in the cloud. INTELLIEDGE manages the collection, control, and action of large amounts of data generated by sensors in OT environments, such as manufacturing, power generation, and oil and gas industries.

INTELLIEDGE manages the flow of data between the edge network and the cloud, often over low-bandwidth connections, to provide a comprehensive overview and enable control of entire industrial processes, from supply chain inventory to ordering systems and production sequences. This facilitates the creation of fully digitized production lines, with automatic supply chain optimization and the operation of "digital twins"—a real-time, digitally represented overview of all processes.

The Fujitsu INTELLIEDGE Edge Computing Appliance is integrated with fully configurable, robust hardware designed for reliable, maintenance-free operation in both remote locations and industrial environments. INTELLIEDGE ships with open-source Linux CentOS and can run on other operating systems. With support for OPC-UA, INTELLIEDGE can quickly orchestrate edge network devices. The solution also helps protect critical business data by addressing potential vulnerabilities and guarding against cyberattacks. Its certificate-based authentication and encryption ensure secure communications, providing a secure bridge between edge network sensors and IT systems running on-premises or in the cloud.
