The new Dominion KX2-864 and KX2-832 switches are designed for customers who need server access from anywhere and allow multiple IT administrators (eight local and two remote users) to access up to 64 or 32 servers, respectively. Raritan is the only company offering 64-port digital KVM switches.

The KX II provides BIOS-like access and control, ensuring that all servers (including blade servers) are always accessible, even when a server's operating system is down. The KX II also enables remote software installation, file transfer, data updates, and diagnostics via its Universal Virtual Media (UVM) function, and can control power to servers using optional remote power strips.

High-Density Enterprise Server Rooms
“Our R&D team’s goal is to innovate for the customer. When customers asked us for solutions to manage their high-density server rooms, we offered our Dominion KX II enterprise-grade switches,” said Peter Suriani, Director of Product Management at Raritan. “Raritan was the first to bring 32- and 64-port digital KVM switches to market. Our new KX2-864 and KX2-832 models are ideal for high-density server rooms that require high levels of accessibility and reliability. This system is more cost-effective than installing multiple smaller switches, whether you consider the number of ports or the maintenance costs.
The 864, for example, saves more in costs than four 2x16 switches.”

Raritan's new Extended Local Port feature, available on the KX2-864 and KX2-832 switches, helps increase productivity by extending the local port to another location or system within the data center, or to a Raritan Paragon II switch for consolidated access. For example, the new feature can provide extended access in a control room or NOC, or extend access to an area adjacent to a data center.

The Dominion Series:

The KX II also delivers the highest remote video resolution on the market (1600 x 1200 pixels).
