With the modular connector kit, the modules can be individually configured. Each module can accommodate up to four different connector couplings and then be coupled together, allowing for endless possibilities and multiple heights and widths. The use of accessories such as mounting plates, removable labels, fixing elements, and various strain relief systems allows the modular connector kit to become a complete connection module for cable carriers. "Thanks to the flat-pack design, this kit saves considerable space and compactly accommodates a large number of connections for every application," emphasizes Christian Stremlau, Director of readychain and readycable cable carriers at igus. Another advantage of this solution is that it allows for adding as many connectors as needed. The modular connector kits can be adapted to cables and conduits, as well as to the geometry of the single- or multi-layered cable carrier. "This enables ideal cabling in terms of both function and design for each application," adds Stremlau. There are several options for connecting the module: installing it on the fixed or mobile terminal of the cable carrier chain, between two cable carrier chains, or directly in electrical cabinets.
