Both devices can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi hotspots or through the WAN/LAN port connected to an external modem (ONT, DSL, etc.). In addition to the new devices, FRITZ! is showcasing the latest advancements in network management through the USP (User Services Platform) standard. Using the MyFRITZ!Net service or the TR-369 interface, providers can remotely optimize their customers' Wi-Fi networks, improving customer loyalty.

Failsafe solution is being enhanced in the upcoming FRITZ!OS 8.20 release, enabling any mobile router (such as the 6850 or the new 6835 models) to act as an automatic backup for a fiber optic connection, ensuring that users never lose their connection in the event of a failure.
