With Smart Connect, the RT2600ac intelligently optimizes connection quality and balances devices across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies for maximum wireless speed and range. Dual WAN with a combined bandwidth of 2 Gbps allows users to leverage the benefits of two high-speed fiber optic internet connections for load balancing and failover.
The RT2600ac incorporates the Synology Router Manager (SRM) operating system, offering professional networking tools at an affordable price. The Quality of Service (QoS) application layer allows you to monitor and control bandwidth consumption, not only for devices but also for individual applications. Even with advanced traffic control and application discovery enabled, the hardware acceleration engine ensures high performance and processing speed across all connected devices. The RT2600ac is Wi-Fi and DLNA certified.
The Synology RT2600ac and RT1900ac models include VPN Plus. WebVPN provides clientless access to internal web-based services, making remote work as easy as opening a browser. Synology SSL VPN offers the security of SSL encryption. In addition, VPN Plus provides administrators with a comprehensive suite of traffic management tools and permissions to visualize and optimize their network. Support for other protocols, such as SSTP, OpenVPN, PPTP, and L2TP over IPSec, also ensures that VPN Plus integrates seamlessly into any environment.
VPN Plus offers one free simultaneous account with access to WebVPN, Synology SSL VPN, and SSTP. A license will be available for purchase at a later date to allow for more simultaneous access.
It will be available in Spain throughout January. The VPN Plus license will go on sale in the first half of 2017.
