In addition to being the world's smallest Linux network server, the XPort Pro also features a significant increase in onboard memory—8MB SDRAM/16MB Flash—compared to the 256kB of next-generation XPort devices, and an extremely low current draw of 150mA at 10Mbps to minimize power consumption.
With a footprint compatible with XPort network servers, the XPort Pro is a production-ready module that eliminates the need for complex connectivity designs. Its high-speed 32-bit processor enables advanced applications to run directly on connected devices. The combination of the Linux operating system, with integrated IPv6 and powerful feature libraries, ample onboard memory, and advanced processing, provides unlimited flexibility for customizing the XPort Pro for a wide variety of M2M applications.
Network security is ensured through a range of data encryption/decryption options and is further enhanced by Lantronix's pending Virtual IP Access (VIP) technology. This provides full integration with ManageLinx, enabling secure access to firewall-protected equipment for remote monitoring and control.
