Twelve of the angled connectors are mounted facing left and twelve facing right, providing a total of 24 ports on a 1U patch panel with a central split for the patch cords. The angled connector directs the cable to one side, reducing cable bending. This, in turn, reduces the space required between the front of the patch panel and the cabinet doors, thanks to the angled connector bridge, which maintains a conventional flat panel format. Side routing of the patch cords allows them to be inserted directly into the cabinet or rack housing. This reduces cable bending and eliminates the need for horizontal cable management bars, freeing up valuable mounting positions within the cabinet. Maintaining a flat front for the patch panel ensures a consistent aesthetic across the entire cabinet installation, thanks to the uniform appearance of the patch panels and equipment.
The patch panel, combined with tool-less Keystone angled connectors, keeps the cable entry perpendicular to the back of the panel via the integrated cable manager. This allows the cable management to be installed at the back of the panel to accommodate various configurations: 24 on the right, 24 on the left, or a combination of both. It also facilitates the easy addition of partially filled panels.
The chrome-finished patch panel comes complete with an earthing kit and is suitable for installing both shielded and unshielded connectors. The black-finished patch panel is suitable only for unshielded connectors. Both patch panels are supplied complete with cable ties and the necessary cabinet mounting hardware (box nuts and screws).
