The MapIT G2 TERA system includes easy-to-install smart patch panels with modules that insert from the front or rear, and features Quick-Ground technology for proper grounding of the shielded system. The panel's angled design allows for simpler cable routing directly into the vertical cable glands. The panel displays real-time information about each patch cord connection and local circuit traceability on the backlit LCD graphic display.
MapIT G2 TERA patch cables are available in 2-pair and 4-pair versions and feature a sensor on the back of the connector for testing and mapping. The 2-pair patch cables support cable sharing in cases where applications such as VoIP or 10/100BASE-T can operate on 2 pairs, enabling the use of multiple applications on a single 4-pair cable, thus saving cabling costs and channel space.
A combination of Siemon's MapIT G2 intelligent connectivity technology and EagleEyeConnect software provides complete visibility and control of the physical layer. Utilizing its real-time port monitoring and tracking capabilities, the system identifies faults, unauthorized connections, and unused ports, enabling improved response times for troubleshooting, work order management, security, and asset management. MapIT G2 TERA patch panels are extremely efficient, using up to 78% less energy than comparable systems on the market. Upgradeable versions are also available for field-ready MapIT G2 deployment, allowing for a cost-effective and straightforward migration to automated infrastructure management.
