The new switches join the recently launched Brocade ICX 6610 switch and are designed for enterprise-grade network solutions at a cost to fit any budget, allowing customers to effortlessly upgrade their networks as their needs evolve. The entire Brocade ICX switch family is HyperEdge-ready, enabling customers to seamlessly upgrade their networks as their needs change.
The Brocade ICX 6430 and 6450 switches can distribute PoE power and data over network connections, providing a single-cable solution for edge devices. They are compatible with VoIP equipment as well as traditional IP phones. They also support the PoE+ standard (IEEE 802.3at) to deliver Class 4 (30W) power to each device. This high-power solution simplifies cabling for next-generation edge devices such as VoIP and video conferencing phones, surveillance cameras, and 802.11n access points (APs).
