Three versions are initially available, offering solutions with 12 or 24 1000BaseT ports and up to four 10GBASE-SR fiber ports. All three share the same tiny size. They all meet a wide range of MIL-STD specifications.

Support for a wide range of network protocols is provided through the Abaco OpenWare™ switch management environment. OpenWare offers integrated management services, including configuration, monitoring, switching control, addressing, and routing, and can be customized to meet specific customer needs. It supports a broad set of Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols, giving customers significant network configuration capabilities.

The RES3000 range supports new industry initiatives such as the US Army's VICTORY program (Vehicle Integration for C4ISR/EW Interoperability), a systems architecture designed to minimize Swap-C (size, weight, power, and cost), maximize information across availability, and enable platforms to accept future technologies without the need for major redesign.

The three versions of the RES3000 are the RES3120 with 12 1000BaseT ports; the RES3240 with 24 1000BaseT ports; and the RES3244 with 24 1000BaseT ports and up to four 10GBASE-SR fiber ports.
