This flat duplex fiber optic cable is suitable for indoor use in network installations and Fiber to the Home applications. It can also be used as an FTTx drop cable. Each CAS FLAT/F1 cable consists of two G.657 type optical fibers, FRP tensile elements and an ivory-colored LSZH outer jacket, which is characterized by a halogen-free compound, low smoke emission and flame retardancy.
This all-dielectric cable is also distinguished by its small diameter (2.0 mm x 3.0 mm), color-coded fiber identification, weight of 7.6 kg/m, tensile strength up to 100 N, crush resistance of 1000 N/10 cm, and temperature range of -30 °C to +70 °C.
The CAS FLAT/F1 cable has successfully passed the mechanical and thermal tests of the EN187000 and IEC60794-1-2 standards.
