Cable-feeder-hybriflex-RFS-wThis cable, with its extremely lightweight aluminum construction, is distinguished by its ability to connect up to three sectors, minimize installation time, offer various pre-terminator options, eliminate the need for splice boxes, and support the RFS CELLFLEX® accessory range.
In addition to its corrugated aluminum armor, which provides excellent bending performance, the HYBRIFLEX cable also features a flame-retardant polyethylene outer jacket. The cable uses tinned copper conductors, and the optical fibers can be single-mode or multi-mode (depending on the installation requirements), complying with ITU-T G.651, G.652, G.655, or G.657 standards.
This compact cable requires less space than most alternative solutions on the market, which is essential in urban environments, particularly on rooftops and terraces.
To further simplify installation, HYBRIFLEX uses the same mounting method as other RFS radio frequency (RF) cables, eliminating the need for special accessories. Cable length can be easily adjusted using procedures similar to those for fiber optic and DC power cables. The cable is capable of supporting vertical runs with long spacing between fixings, making it ideal for deployments on communication towers where anchor points are scarce or widely spaced.
For outdoor use, this cable has been developed to withstand harsh weather conditions (rain and wind) and provides the lightning protection required for copper conductors.
The HYBRIFLEX family is available in single- and triple-sector versions. The triple-sector version features three power pairs and three optical fiber pairs.
The performance of this feeder cable range has not gone unnoticed by telecommunications operators. For example, Telefónica in Spain uses this cabling solution in its network infrastructure.
