Fiber optic cables for military tactical applications
C3, Cables and Components for Communications, SL, a specialized company of the COFITEL Group, presents the OPTRAL CDI-M range of extremely strong and lightweight tight-fitting cables for military tactical applications.
Designed for use in the most adverse conditions, these polyurethane-coated cables can be used on any type of ground and environment, including, for example, contact with chemicals.
These distribution cables, which are based on the military standard MIL-C-85045, have an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 °C and offer high crush resistance.
CDI-M cables consist of between two and twelve optical fibers, a secondary coating adjusted to 900 microns, Aramid yarns as a tensile element, and an outer polyurethane covering.
The cables are also characterized, depending on the number of fibers, by a diameter of 5.1 to 7 mm, a weight of 21 to 39 kg/km, a permanent traction of 600 and 700 N, and an installation traction of 1100 and 1250 N.
