Operating at wavelengths as low as 190 nm with outstanding resistance to UVP solarization, FDP fiber has become an ideal solution for deep UV applications. The new FDP fiber is even more resistant to solarization and maintains transmission for longer periods while minimizing fiber damage.

In UVP applications, the effects of high levels of UV radiation degrade both the fiber and transmission. After several hours, fibers typically lose their transmission capacity.

By enabling dimensional control with tight tolerances, Polymicro's FDP optical fibers offer a range of options, including custom core sizes, claddings, dampers, and assemblies. Molex and Polymicro's production facilities are ISO 9001, 13485, and 14001 certified.
