According to Brand-Rex, the new system offers significant advantages over conventional fiber optic cabling, including faster and more reliable installation of multiple fiber links, and smaller cable diameters to save space in panels and racks.
The MT Connect system features a modular architecture that makes it ideal for upgrades and additions, facilitating quick maintenance and repairs.
System components include cable assemblies (MPO-to-MPO backbone cables), breakout assemblies (MPO-to-LC or MPO-to-SC), and LGX boxes and panels (MPO-to-LC). The equipment is available with OM3 or OM3+ fibers and 8- or 12-way fiber units.
The MT ferrule is the core component of the MT Connect system, accommodating up to 12 fibers per unit.
