EBM® connectors are equipped with a sleeve that can accommodate up to 12 single-mode or multi-mode fibers. This enables multi-fiber connections for modern applications with high bandwidth requirements and limited installation space.

EBM® connectors are designed to withstand extreme temperatures, vibration, contamination, and repeated mating cycles. Unlike conventional fiber optic connectors, EBM® technology uses a collimated light beam to ensure a permanently reliable connection with minimal maintenance. Contactless transmission protects the sensitive fiber ends from damage and significantly reduces the risk of signal loss due to contamination.

“In harsh environments, a reliable connection isn’t just important, it’s essential,” says Marc Käumle, executive vice president of Rosenberger. “Our EBM® connectors are specifically designed for these conditions. With minimal maintenance and stable, high-performance connections, we help customers in sectors such as defense, energy, transportation, and industrial automation keep their operations running.”.

Features
Stable connection: reliable, low-loss connectivity
Plug-and-play: quick and intuitive installation with no training required
Low maintenance: easy cleaning, no special tools required
Lightweight and compact: space-saving, high-density design
Strength and durability: withstands harsh conditions and over 5,000 docking cycles
Innovative technology for the most demanding challenges

EBM® technology is based on advanced optics that eliminates physical contact between fiber ends, minimizing wear and the risk of contamination. A collimating lens expands and focuses the light beam to ensure high signal integrity in both single-mode and multi-mode applications, making it ideal for harsh environments.
