Designed for temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, the new multifiber connector meets the requirements of IEC 61300-2-26. Thanks to its special ferrule support and robust metal housing, the IP68-rated connector is resistant to vibration, dirt, dust, and mechanical stress. With an integrated MTP ferrule, the Q-ODC 12/24 connector allows for a higher fiber count in a smaller footprint and offers water resistance that can withstand immersion at a depth of three meters for 30 days without performance loss.
The Q-ODC 12/24 is based on US Conec's proven MT Elite ferrule and is compatible with both multimode and single-mode fibers. With 12 or 24 fibers, it enables quick plug-and-play installations thanks to its push-pull locking mechanism. Typical insertion loss is 0.12 dB (multimode) and 0.1 dB (single-mode). Return loss is at least 35 dB (multimode) and over 75 dB (single-mode).
The Q-ODC system is based on a modular design that allows for quick and safe installation. The interfaces are designed to prevent contamination and damage, simplifying maintenance and increasing the lifespan of the connections. Furthermore, Q-ODC interfaces are available in different variants to meet various requirements in terms of fiber density, environmental resistance, and connection type.
The new multi-fiber connector is characterized by its ease of use and quick installation. With a wide range of products and various additional components, such as different cable types, splitters, DIN rail housings, wall distributors, and retractors, tde continues to focus on fast, application-specific plug-and-play cabling across diverse fields.
Developed for the FTTA market, the multifiber connector is increasingly used in areas such as smart grids, wind energy, defense technology, industrial automation, rail and offshore applications, and mining. This underscores the versatility and reliability of fiber optic connectivity solutions for demanding environments.
