As robust as its predecessor, the S123C, the FITELNINJA is smaller and lighter, offering the operator optimal ease of use, portability, and durability.
Features
- Compact and lightweight, approximately 40% smaller than its predecessor (S123C).
- Ease of use: the splice chamber has been redesigned; the space around the fiber supports has been quadrupled, providing ample finger room for easier fiber placement.
- Three LED lights illuminate the splice chamber, making it easier to work in dark environments.
- Shock resistance: four rubber pads on the machine's corners increase shock resistance. Standard operations can be carried out after a 76 cm drop from five different angles.* (1)
- Dust and water resistance: standard operations can be carried out successfully after IP52 equivalent testing. *(2) *(3)
The FITELNINJA features the industry's first detachable V-groove, and requires no tools to change electrodes, and the free alignment mirror system of its predecessor, the S123C.
The fast splicing time is approximately 13 seconds *(4) with low loss, and it performs a fast heating time of approximately 20 seconds *(5) for single fibers.
With its low power consumption, the NJ001 is capable of performing 100 splicing and heating cycles on a single battery charge.
Splice-on-Connector (SOC) Compatibility
- The heater clamp facilitates the heat-shrinking process for SOC (Splice-on Connectors).

* 1: These tests were conducted in the laboratories of Furukawa Electric Co., Ltd. and do not guarantee that the machine will always be in good condition under these conditions. Impact angles are front, rear, bottom, left, and right.
* 2: IPX2 drip rating test means the machine can be exposed to 3 mm/min drips for 10 minutes at a 15-degree tilt and still function.
* 3: IP5X dust rating test means that the machine can be exposed to dust particles with a diameter of 0.1 micrometers to 25 micrometers for 8 hours and still function.
* 4: Using semi-automatic mode.
* 5: Use of preheating mode, this value may vary depending on the type of covers.
* 6: The number of splicing and heating cycles the machine can perform with a new, fully charged battery at room temperature (20°C). This may vary depending on the battery condition and the operating environment.
