These smart fusion splicers can detect cutting and stripping conditions, monitor battery and power usage, and retain the unique features of the original high-performance line, including: a fully automatic windscreen and improved heater, a rugged exterior resistant to dust, shock, and rain, and true core alignment. The splicers also come standard with a three-year warranty, supported by the Fujikura dealer network.
Also being presented at ECOC 2017 alongside the 70S+ and 70R+ are the RS02 and RS03 fiber optic cable strippers, which are suitable for use with all Fujikura fusion splicer models. Featuring Bluetooth connectivity and smartphone app capabilities, a typical warm-up time of just three seconds, and an auto-adjusting heat sensor to monitor temperature and warm-up time, the RS strippers are the perfect accessories for fast, smooth, and efficient fiber stripping. The RS03 comes equipped with new features such as a high-capacity battery for 600 stripping cycles and a wireless smartphone link for adjusting operating parameters. Developed to meet the stripping and splicing needs of Fujikura's SpiderWeb® tape technology, the RS02 and RS03 can efficiently and reliably strip up to twelve fibers.
