The LinkIQ-IE, which combines Fluke Networks' most advanced cable measurement technology with a suite of network connectivity tests, speeds up network fault location.

The LinkIQ-IE simplifies the operator's work by providing a single TEST function whose results are automatically displayed depending on the instrument's connection. It comes with adapters for the most common Industrial Ethernet connectors for easy connection.

Key features of the LinkIQ:
• Network testing. Users can verify connectivity and response time to key network devices with a simple touch of the screen. The LinkIQ-IE can be configured to perform IPv4 or v6 ping tests and will display the response time for four pings to a user-selected target device. The test results indicate the DNS and DHCP servers and the gateway router. The LinkIQ-IE also displays the IP address of the nearest switch.
• Two-pair cable testing. Cable performance up to 100 Mbps can be tested for two-pair cables, commonly used in industrial environments.
• Open cable connection. A diagram of the cable and the length of each pair is displayed.
• Supplied remote ID connected to the cable end. Indicates performance up to 10 Gbps.
• Additional remote IDs (up to 6) can be purchased and connected to patch panels. The LinkIQ-IE can display the remote ID number, making it easier for technicians to determine the path of a link.
• Cable connected to a switch port. The LinkIQ-IE will display the switch name along with the VLAN, port name, speed, and duplex.
• If PoE is displayed, it will show the power and class (up to 90W or Class 8) and then load the switch to verify the power it can supply.
• Supported languages. The LinkIQ user interface now supports 12 languages.
• Reporting. A new version of LinkWare™ PC software, the de facto industry standard for reporting, is available. This new version provides reports such as the Extended Network Check, allowing users to document their work.
