The LinkRunner AT 3000 features a 5-inch touchscreen and a new generation of AutoTest functions, capable of performing a complete network link validation in under seven seconds. The system automatically analyzes parameters such as link speed and duplex, Power over Ethernet (PoE), IP address acquisition via DHCP, DNS resolution, TCP/IP connectivity, and VLAN information, providing an immediate overview of the infrastructure's status.
One of the device's key features is its ability to automatically identify the connected switch, the port in use, and the VLAN configuration using protocols such as CDP, LLDP, and EDP. This information greatly simplifies installation and maintenance tasks, especially in complex networks where documentation is not always up-to-date.
The tester also incorporates advanced cabling analysis functions. Using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology, it can measure cable length, locate faults such as short circuits, open circuits, split pairs, or wiring errors, and verify the connection map in both structured cabling and patch cords. It also supports cable tracing using tones and WireView accessories.

In applications where Power over Ethernet (PoE) is critical, the LinkRunner AT 3000 verifies the operation of IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt links, including real-world load testing using TruePower™ technology, which allows verification of the port's effective capacity to deliver up to 90W of PoE power.
The device supports Ethernet links from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps, automatically detecting 2.5, 5, and 10 Gigabit NBASE-T connections—a particularly useful feature in modern networks with high-speed Wi-Fi access points, servers, or storage systems. The LinkRunner AT 3000 also incorporates an SFP interface, enabling testing on both copper and fiber optic links, including signal checks and optical module diagnostics.

For validating the performance of the physical medium, the instrument incorporates the LANBERT™ Media Qualification application, capable of evaluating available bandwidth using real Ethernet traffic. This functionality allows verification of whether an infrastructure can support Gigabit applications without requiring full cabling certification, reducing time and costs associated with network maintenance or expansion.

Connectivity features include Ping and TCP Connect tests, which help verify the availability of network devices and services, as well as detect intermittent problems through trend analysis. Results can be automatically stored on the Link-Live™ cloud platform, facilitating report generation, collaboration among technical teams, and documentation of interventions.

Designed for field work, the LinkRunner AT 3000 features a battery with a typical runtime of up to 8 hours, a USB-C interface for charging and communication, and a build built to withstand the rigors of professional environments.
