The high-precision FPM-300 stands out for offering ten calibrated wavelengths, covering the transmission spectrum in MM and SM optical fiber, 300 hours of autonomy, ergonomic design, automatic wavelength recognition and a three-year warranty to facilitate work and reduce the total cost of ownership.
The FLS-300 or FOT-300 units can transmit using a digital wavelength identification encryption protocol, enabling the FPM-300 Power Meter to automatically use the appropriate calibration parameters. This feature reduces the need for communication between the two technicians and decreases the possibility of error.
Signal encryption also allows the received information to be used as a reference, thus ensuring efficient operation even when the two units are located far apart.
The FPM-300 Power Meter is ready to meet the requirements of FTTx applications, as it can test passive optical networks (PONs) at 1310, 1490, and 1550 nm—the three wavelengths recommended by the ITU-T (G.983.3) for these environments.
The new range, comprising the FPM-302 and FPM-302X (high power) models, measures 185 x 100 x 55 mm, weighs 400 grams, and can operate in a temperature range of -10 to +50 °C.
