YokogawaAQ6150webnThese instruments offer high wavelength accuracy (±1 pm for the AQ6150 and ±0.3 pm for the AQ6151) and can perform simultaneous measurements on up to 1024 channels. They maintain high performance even with low-level signals and can perform measurements in modulated light and optical filters.

The high acquisition and measurement speed of these new instruments makes them particularly useful in production testing of active optical devices, such as tunable lasers in telecommunications applications. Typical acquisition time is around 0.3 seconds, and up to 5 measurements per second can be performed in repetitive mode. They feature GPIB and Ethernet interfaces and are SCPI compliant.

The simple and user-friendly interface is thanks to a proven design and the operational features inherited from the AQ37x Optical Spectrum Analyzers (OSAs). Both the AQ6150 and AQ6151 feature a 5.7-inch color LCD screen with a wide variety of menus, including single, multiple, and delta wavelength modes, as well as the optical spectrum graph.

They also feature USB ports for storage devices, a mouse, and a keyboard. The devices can be operated directly with a mouse, in addition to their built-in keyboard, and data is accessible via a LAN connection.
Integrated drift/displacement measurement and analysis, Fabry-Perot lasers, and measurement averaging are available.
These wavelength meters are intended for manufacturers of active optical devices, optical subsystems, and transmission systems, as well as universities and R&D centers conducting research in these areas.
