A higher resolution, 7-inch TFT screen with excellent performance both indoors and outdoors, is now standard, providing users with greater readability—even in direct sunlight. New function keys below the screen also provide shortcuts for easily switching between plotting and table event views, or jumping smoothly from one event to the next operation.
The ACCESS Master series boasts up to 150,000 data points for precise event mapping, dead zones of less than 1 meter (3 feet), and a dynamic range of up to 46 dB to ensure comprehensive and accurate fiber optic evaluation for any type of network—access, metropolitan, and more—including FTTX-based PON networks with up to a 1x128 split. Dynamic range and intermediate pulse width performance have also been enhanced to provide better resolution, eliminating the need for testing at multiple pulse widths, saving time, and simplifying testing. Furthermore, all models now feature user-selectable High Resolution (HD) or Extended Range (ER) operation, allowing for customization to specific needs. Options include adding a power meter, stable light source, loss test kit, and connector inspection microscope.
Other important specifications have also been improved, making it better equipped for fieldwork. The weight has been reduced to just 2.6 kg, including the battery and all options. Battery life is now up to 12 hours. The operating temperature range has also been increased.
