The iBeam smart represents the first all-in-one solution for compact laser diode modules. Measuring only 100 mm x 40 mm x 40 mm, it is capable of enhancing almost all existing laser diode applications. This has been made possible by a high level of integration of microprocessor-based electronics combined with an outstanding mechanical optics design.
The integrated laser controller allows the iBeam smart to be not only a highly compact but also a powerful solution; for example, it provides 150 mW in single-mode operation at 660 nm.
Furthermore, this new laser can perform fast and complex analog modulation procedures, and of course Toptica's TOP feature, the Feedback Induced Noise Eraser (FINE), included as a standard function in the iBeam smart.
Main specifications of the iBeam smart:
- The highest power levels achieved with compact laser diodes: 120 mW at 405 nm, 50 mW at 445 nm, 30 mW at 488 nm, 100 mW at 640 nm, 150 mW at 642 nm and 150 mW at 660 nm.
- True solution in a box (100 x 40 x 40 mm) with an integrated laser controller.
- Solid against optical feedback via FINE.
- Beam diameter of approximately 1.1 mm 1/e2.
- Excellent beam quality and the lowest noise in the industry (less than 0.2%,
10 MHz).
